DAVA Film Screening
Join us for DAVA’s Film Premiere on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Aurora Fox Theatre! This special evening will showcase 17 short films created by DAVA’s middle and high school students in the Job Training in the Arts and Technology program.
Through mentorship from professionals at the Community College of Aurora’s Cinematic Arts Department, the Askkanwii Filmmaking Hub Incubator, and dedicated volunteers, students explored every aspect of filmmaking—from writing and directing to editing and sound design. Their films range from creative, funny, and heartwarming stories to thrilling, mysterious, and experimental works that highlight their imagination and growth.
This free community event celebrates the next generation of storytellers who are building artistic, professional, and life skills that will carry them far into the future. Doors open at 6 PM; films begin promptly at 7 PM.

DAVA’s community art center is an island of creativity in Aurora, Colorado. Every student that walks through our doors experiences the transformative power of high quality out-of-school programs that develop art, social, and life skills. Free year-round programming engages kids from pre-school through high school.

Come visit us in the heart of the diverse and vibrant Aurora Cultural Arts District. DAVA’s Gallery welcomes the entire community into events that showcase the work of our student artists alongside professional artists from the metro area. All DAVA events are family-friendly and free.

Hannah B. (age 16) started at DAVA in 2015, and is the oldest child in a refugee family from Eretria. She joined DAVA’s Computer Art Lab because she was fascinated with learning new technology.
