Job Training in the Studio Arts

DAVA’s Job Training program in the Studio Arts uses more in depth, process-driven art projects to teach students about the working world. Middle-school students (ages 11-14) work with staff and inspiring guest artists to learn a wide variety of art techniques, including drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and installations.

Studio Arts students use their art training as a basis for celebrating the many voices that contribute to Aurora’s cultural diversity.

Job Training in the Arts is a free, on-site program. Students commit to coming 2 days per week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday). Please stop by DAVA for an application to join.

Job Training in the Studio Arts hours:
Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
(Summer hours from 1:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.)
