Computer Art Lab

In DAVA’s Computer Art Lab, Job Training students (ages 11-14) use the computer as one tool in the learning process. The greater focus is on the creative process, where students learn to generate strong ideas and build a foundation of visual communication skills.

Access to current technology is a proven route to student success, especially in our underserved community. Interdisciplinary projects often merge art and technology, creating a valuable skill base in current media such as film editing, Photoshop, Scratch and Sketch Up software. Developing creative capacity in our students is key - from there, they will drive better web design, animation, and film.

Job Training in the Computer Arts Lab is a free, on-site program. Students commit to coming 2 days per week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday). Please stop by DAVA for an application to join.

Computer Art Lab hours: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. (Summer hours from 1:30 p.m.-4:30p.m.)
